In Pakistan, how you pay for a delivery matters almost as much as what you order. Cash is still common, while mobile wallets like JazzCash and Easypaisa are now part of everyday life.

Society Kart supports both — simply and transparently. This guide explains how each option works and how to stay safe.

The two ways to pay

1. Cash on Delivery

  • Pay the rider in cash when the order arrives.
  • The total is shown in the app before you order: items total + Rs. 100 delivery (and any discount).
  • Keep change ready if you can — it makes handover faster.

2. JazzCash or Easypaisa to the rider's wallet

  • After the order is accepted, the app shows the rider's wallet details for payment.
  • Send the exact total from your wallet app.
  • Upload the payment screenshot in the order. The app reads the transaction ID from the screenshot automatically.
  • The rider checks their wallet, confirms the money has arrived, then hands over the order.

There is no card payment inside Society Kart at the moment. When online payments are added, we will say so clearly in the app and on this website.

Who gets the money?

Society Kart keeps the flow simple:

1. You pay the rider (cash or wallet). 2. The rider has already paid the shop for your items at pickup. 3. The delivery charge covers the rider's delivery, and platform fees are recorded separately as dues.

So you only ever deal with one person — the rider who brings your order.

Staying safe with wallet payments

Wallets are convenient, but scams exist. A few habits protect you:

  • Only send money to the wallet shown in your order in the Society Kart app — never to a number someone sends you in a message.
  • Never share your wallet PIN or OTP with anyone, including someone claiming to be from Society Kart, a shop or a rider.
  • Send the exact amount shown in the order.
  • Upload a clear screenshot showing the amount and transaction ID.
  • Ignore "refund" calls asking you to send money first. Society Kart does not ask you to send money to receive a refund.

The State Bank of Pakistan and wallet providers regularly publish advice on avoiding digital payment fraud — it is worth a read.

What riders check

Riders protect themselves too. Before handing over an order paid by wallet, a rider checks their own wallet app to confirm the money has arrived. A screenshot alone is not enough. This protects riders from fake screenshots and keeps the system fair.

Refunds

  • Cash orders: if you have not paid, there is nothing to refund. If you paid and a refund is approved, the team arranges it with you through support.
  • Wallet payments: approved refunds are sent back by wallet transfer. Timing after approval depends on the wallet provider.
  • Duplicate or mistaken payments are refunded once the transfer is confirmed.

Every case is reviewed with the order records. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Which should you choose?

  • Prefer simplicity? Cash on Delivery.
  • No cash at home, or want a record of payment? JazzCash or Easypaisa.
  • Ordering for someone else? Pay by wallet and give them the delivery code.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay the shop directly?

No — pay the rider, who has already paid the shop at pickup.

What if my wallet payment fails?

Don't send it again until you've checked your wallet history. If money left your account but the rider didn't receive it, contact support from the order.

Can I pay part cash, part wallet?

It's best to use one method per order so records stay clear.

Is my payment information stored?

We store whether an order was paid by cash or wallet and the screenshot you upload as proof. We never collect card numbers, wallet PINs or passwords. See the Privacy Policy.
