Shop Owner Policy

Rules for businesses that sell through Society Kart. This policy is part of our Terms and Conditions and the Partner Policy.

Joining

Apply in the app (Account → Become a partner). Society Kart verifies the business before the shop goes live and may decline an application. Give accurate business details; only the owner or someone they authorise may run the shop account.

Listings

• Show real products with honest names, descriptions, prices and photos you have the right to use.
• Keep stock, prices and opening hours up to date.
• You are responsible for product quality, safety, freshness, labelling and following the law (including food safety rules where they apply).
• Illegal, unsafe, counterfeit or restricted products are not allowed.

Orders

Accept or reject new orders promptly, prepare them carefully and hand them to the assigned rider. Reject an order rather than leave it waiting if you cannot fulfil it. Help our support team resolve customer complaints.

Money

• Riders pay the shop for the items at pickup.
• Platform fee: Rs. 30 per completed order (once per order, not per item).
• Fees are recorded as dues in your earnings screen and paid to Society Kart with a payment screenshot that an admin approves.
• When unpaid dues reach Rs. 1,000, the shop stops receiving new orders until they are cleared.

Each order belongs to one shop; a customer buying from several shops places separate orders.

Advertising

Shops can buy sponsored ads under the Advertisement Policy.

Customer data

Use customer information only to fulfil their orders. Do not copy, store, sell or contact customers outside the platform. Phone numbers are not shared through the platform.

Suspension and removal

Society Kart may suspend or permanently remove a shop at any time if it breaks these rules or the law, for example: fraud, fake or unsafe products, overcharging, repeatedly rejecting or delaying orders, abusive behaviour, sharing phone numbers to take orders off the platform, or unpaid dues. Serious violations can lead to immediate removal. Where possible the shop is told the reason and can respond through support. Dues already owed remain payable.
